The Milwaukee Archdiocese Bankruptcy: What it Means for Someone Who Has Been Abused

If you, or someone you know, were sexually abused by a priest, or any other person affiliated with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, the archdiocese’s recent bankruptcy filing provides an opportunity for you to file a claim for compensation—even if in the past you were told you couldn’t. In addition to victims who were abused in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, if you were abused by a priest in another Wisconsin diocese or in another state, and your abuser was sent to your parish from the Milwaukee Archdiocese, you may be eligible to file a claim.

The Court Has Set a Bar Date of February 1, 2012, So You Must Act Now

The United States Bankruptcy Court has made a ruling that all claims against the Archdiocese must be filed by February 1, 2012. To be sure that an opportunity to seek justice and begin a journey of healing is not lost, it is important to contact us immediately for a confidential consultation.
